Toshiba Delays Release of First HD DVD Recorder in Japan

Tokyo - Japanese consumer electronics firm Toshiba announced this week that it has delayed the release of its first HD DVD recorder until the end of the month, due to a lack of adequate supply.

Micro Hard Drive Maker Cornice Gets $5 Million in Financing

San Francisco - ATEL Ventures, a San Francisco-based provider of secured financing to emerging growth companies, said on Friday that it has committed $5 million in equipment lease financing to Colorado-based Cornice, a manufacturer of miniature hard drives for consumer electronics devices.
