Cellpoint, VoodooVox to Sell Ringtones to Radio Station Callers

Miami - Mobile services provider Cellpoint Connect said on Thursday that it has partnered with VoodooVox, a developer of interactive voice response technology for radio stations.

Mobile Content Firm Orion Merges With Sweden-Based CellPoint

Miami -- Orion Information Services, a provider of mobile content and applications, announced on Wednesday that it has merged with Sweden-based CellPoint Connect, a developer of wireless hardware and software. Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed. Under the terms of the deal, Miami-based Orion will take on the CellPoint name and manage the company's North American division. Recently, Orion partnered with PixelPlay on the development of an interactive TV portal for cell phones. "By incorporating Orion into the CellPoint family, we have instant access into the North American and Latin American markets and can capitalize on the market expertise and client relationships that Orion brings to the table," said CellPoint CEO Michael Mathiesen. CellPoint's products include a Bluetooth headset, mobile personal surveillance technology, and a mobile GPS application.
