Redmond, Wash. - Nintendo on Monday will launch the Check Mii Out Channel, a free channel downloadable from its Wii Shop Channel that will let gamers show off and vote on their Mii characters -- the customizable, cartoonish caricatures that users can create for themselves in games like "Wii Sports." The channel will sponsor contests challenging gamers to create Mii characters based on a specific person, character or theme, and also allow users to import Mii characters from the channel to their home consoles.
