CDC Corp. Launches Google Click-to-Play Video Ads on China.com

Beijing - CDC Corporation, which operates the Chinese portal China.com, announced on Tuesday that it has launched Google's click-to-play video ads in the Chinese market via China.com's English Channel. "Google's click-to-play video ads are user-initiated, so that the quality of the user experience is preserved. As a result, advertisers get more engaged users and qualified leads," said Johnny Chou, Google's president of sales and business development for Greater China.

China.com to Invest $20 Million in Game Developer Program

Beijing - China.com's CDC Games unit on Wednesday announced the launch of an Online Games Developer Program, for which it has earmarked $20 million for investment in strategic game development partners.

China.com Licenses "Special Force" Online Game for Play in China

Beijing - China.com's CDC Games unit announced on Monday that it has acquired a license to operate Korean developer Dragonfly's "Special Force" online game in China. The game claims over 11 million registered users in Korea, and will launch in China during the fourth quarter as a free game where players pay for virtual merchandise.

China.com Game Revenues Up 52% on Strength of "Yulgang"

Hong Kong - CDC Corporation's online gaming and mobile services unit, China.com, announced on Friday that revenues at its online game business increased 52%, to $7.8 million in the second quarter of 2006.
