Reports: Former Facebook Exec to Become New MySpace CEO

Beverly Hills, Calif. - Owen Van Natta, the former COO of Facebook, is set to become the new CEO of social networking rival MySpace, the blog AllThingsD reported. He is expected to replace company co-founder Chris DeWolfe, probably starting with the title of special advisor.

Palo Alto, Calif. - News Corp. (NYSE: NWS) is firing MySpace CEO and co-founder Chris DeWolfe, with the core MySpace executive team to depart the company as well, TechCrunch reported on Wednesday, citing anonymous sources. The report states that "a new CEO has already been recruited and is in the final stages of contract negotiations."

Santa Monica, Calif. - News Corporation (NYSE: NWS) has created a business incubator, SlingShot Labs, and provided it with an initial $15 million in financing to help nurture start-up companies that could contribute to the company's Web properties, BusinessWeek reports.
