Stan and Kyle plays Guitar Hero with their friends, but are not impressed when Stan's dad picks up the real thing in this episode of South Park. If we ignore the fact that it seems like obvious product placement for a minute, it actually highlights a topic we frequently address in our Millennials conferences - the cyber-world is REAL to the Millennial generation. Stephen Colbert Ends Presidential BidAuthored by Scott Goldberg on November 5, 2007 - 11:12am.
Perhaps it was the prospect of hosting a show with no writers, or more accurately, the long arm of the South Carolina Democratic Executive Council got in the way: Stephen Colbert’s presidential bid has ended as quickly as it began. The host of The Colbert Report was shot down in his attempt to land on the state’s Democratic ballot by a 13-3 vote. Colbert is a native of South Carolina, and released a statement today.
Comedy Central Moves Forward with the Colbert CampaignAuthored by Scott Goldberg on October 26, 2007 - 8:43am.
When Stephen Colbert announced his candidacy for president recently, it was quickly dismissed as a joke, despite those familiar with the show knowing the serious degree with which Colbert and his writers approach pranks. After all, how could a political satirist whose show is broadcast by a comedy channel really think it possible to run for president? But as we have found out since, Colbert is far from joking.

Buzz Watch: vlogger Josh Wolf on the Colbert ReportAuthored by Jay Baage on June 14, 2007 - 1:13pm.
The vlogger Josh Wolf's appearance on the Colbert Report Tuesday was so funny, I have to embed it. Thanks to NewTeeVee for bringing it to my attention. I especially like Colbert's attack on Wolf for calling himself a journalist: "But you're a blogger, not a member of the press." Colbert, like Borat, very successfully uses the appearance of ignorance as a great humorous tool to deliver a message, in this case how fast blogs using citizen journalism have taken off and developed into a powerful medium (in spite of what the Feds think). tags: Internet | Video | Viacom | Comedy Central | Josh Wolf | Stephen Colbert | The Colbert Report |
