IFILM, a division of Viacom's MTV Networks, announced today that Lowell Goss, the former head of user experience at Yahoo!, has been named Senior Vice President User Experience and Product Development. During his three years at Yahoo!, Goss created and managed a 45-person user experience design team for the Yahoo! Media Group business unit.

Digital Content Marketplace a21 Raises $15.5 million in Private Placement

Jacksonville, Fla. - a21, an online digital content marketplace for creative professionals, announced that it has raised $15.5 million in convertible debt with a group of institutional and accredited investors. The company said that it expects to use the proceeds to repay existing debt, to provide working capital, and for acquisitions and expansion. StarVest Partners, which invested $5 million in the deal with a21, led the deal, which also included Morgan Stanley.

Jacksonville, Fla. - a21, an online provider of digital content, has acquired Ingram Publishing, a U.K.-based provider of subscription, CD and individual royalty-free images. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Founded in 1998, Ingram also offers vector graphics and fonts, vehicle outline templates, and print price guides for the graphics design, printing, sign-making, advertising and publishing markets.
