CNET Networks Launches Food Enthusiast Site Chow.com

San Francisco - Technology media company CNET Networks said on Monday that it has launched a new interactive food site, Chow.com. The site provides a set of online tools, recipes and shopping designed to let users create at-home team cooking events. The site's centerpiece is an interactive timeline where users enter the start-time and receive a customized plan that moves six people in three teams through the process of creating five recipes.

Knoxville, Tenn. - Scripps Networks Interactive announced that its FoodNetwork.com site will next week launch a new original broadband series featuring celebrity chef Dave Lieberman.

Wired News: Nintendo DS Voice-Navigated Recipe Title Big in Japan

San Francisco - Wired News on Monday reported on a Japanese title for the Nintendo DS handheld system that contains over 200 voice-navigated food recipes. "Talk! DS Cuisine Navigator" sold more than 120,000 units in its first week of availability in Japan. The title reads step-by-step cooking instructions, and responds to commands including "Next page," "Go back" and "More detail," in which case the narrator breaks down a particular step in the recipe even further.
