Fillpoint Acquires SVG Distribution & Crave Entertainment

Newport Beach, Calif. - Fillpoint, a provider of online distribution, fulfillment and e-commerce services for national retailers, announced on Tuesday that it has acquired the Handleman Company's video game distribution and publishing units, SVG Distribution and Crave Entertainment Group.

Crave Entertainment Ships "Hard Rock Casino" for PS2, PSP

Crave Entertainment Gets NRA Endorsement for Firearms Game

Newport Beach, Calif. - Casual console game publisher Crave Entertainment and developer Highway 1 Productions announced on Thursday that their "NRA Gun Club" title for PlayStation 2 has been officially endorsed by the National Rifle Association.

Handleman Company Acquires Games Firm Crave Entertainment for $72 Million

Troy, Mich. - The Handleman Company, a distributor of CDs and other recorded music formats to music retailers, announced on Friday that it plans to acquire Crave Entertainment, a developer of video game hardware, software and accessories, for $72 million. Newport Beach, Calif.-based Crave Entertainment distributes its products to more than 30,000 retail stores, and reported sales of $240 million for its most recent fiscal year. The company released "The Bible Game" earlier this week for PlayStation 2 and Game Boy Advance. "The acquisition of CEG expands our customer base, broadens our product line and will be immediately accretive to earnings," said Handleman chairman and CEO Stephen Strome. "Video game software is one of the fastest growing entertainment product lines, with industry growth expected to exceed an 8% compounded annual growth rate over the next four years."

Crave Entertainment Ships "The Bible Game" for PS2 and Xbox

Newport Beach, Calif. - Video game publisher Crave Entertainment on Tuesday shipped "The Bible Game" for PlayStation 2 and Xbox to retailers. The game includes 1,500 Bible trivia questions, 20 mini-games, and a soundtrack featuring Christian artists including TobyMac, Newsboys, Kutless and Jeremy Camp.

Game Developer Crave Entertainment Secures $58 Million Credit Facility

Los Angeles -- Video game developer and publisher Crave Entertainment announced on Tuesday that it has secured a new three-year, $58 million credit facility with GE Capital. The package includes a $55 million revolving credit line for working capital needs and a $3 million loan. The company also announced that it has relocated its warehouse operations from Rancho Dominguez, Calif. to a larger facility in nearby Carson. Crave Entertainment has developed titles including "Ultimate Fighting Championship," "Freedom Force" and "Battle Realms."
