D3Publisher to Create Games for "Coraline," "Shaun the Sheep"

Los Angeles - Japanese video game publisher D3Publisher said on Monday that it has signed deals to publish games based on Universal/Focus Features' forthcoming stop-motion animated HD feature "Coraline," as well as Aardman Animation's TV series "Shaun the Sheep." Console versions of "Coraline," based on the Neil Gaiman novel, will be developed by Papaya Studios, while handheld versions are being created by ART -- which will also create the Nintendo DS version of "Shaun the Sheep."

Los Angeles - D3Publisher of America, the U.S. unit of the Japanese game publisher, announced on Wednesday that it will acquire Vicious Cycle Software, a Chapel Hill, N.C.-based game developer.

Los Angeles - D3Publisher of America on Tuesday announced the release of its "Flushed Away" game, based on the DreamWorks Animation/Aardman film. The game was developed for PlayStation 2 and GameCube by Monkey Bar Games; for Nintendo DS by Art Co.; and for the Game Boy Advance by Altron Corporation.

Los Angeles - D3Publisher of America, the U.S. arm of the Japanese video game publisher, announced on Thursday the line-up of games it will showcase at E3 next week. They will include "Naruto: Clash of Ninja 2," "Naruto: Ninja Council 2," "Dead Head Fred," "Flushed Away," "Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi: Genie & the Amp," "WTF: Work Time Fun" and "Break'em All".

Los Angeles - Japanese video games firm D3Publisher said on Monday that it has partnered with TOMY Corporation to publish "Naruto: Clash of Ninja 2" for Nintendo GameCube. Based on the Japanese anime series licensed from VIZ Media, the game is being developed by 8ing for release in September. Another title in the series, "Naruto: Ninja Council 2," is being developed by Aspect for release in the fall for Game Boy Advance.

Los Angeles - Japanese video games firm D3Publisher announced that it has signed an agreement with film studio DreamWorks Animation, to develop games based on its "Flushed Away" digitally animated film. Developer Vicious Cycle will create versions of the game for PlayStation 2 and GameCube, while Altron and ART will develop titles for Nintendo DS and Game Boy Advance; all are slated for release in the fourth quarter of 2006, alongside the film's theatrical release.

D3Publisher Ships "Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi: Kaznapped" for Game Boy

Los Angeles - D3Publisher of America said on Tuesday that it has shipped its "Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi: Kaznapped" title for Nintendo Game Boy Advance. The game is based on the Cartoon Network original series that features the Japanese all-girl pop group.

D3Publisher Releases "Cabbage Patch Kids: Where's My Pony?" PC Game

Los Angeles - D3Publisher of America on Tuesday shipped its "Cabbage Patch Kids: Where's My Pony?" PC video game to retailers. The title is based on a license of the Cabbage Patch Kids property from Original Appalachian Artworks; a version for Nintendo Game Boy Advance is due for release in early 2006.

D3Publisher, TOMY to Develop Games Based on "Naruto" Anime

Los Angeles - Japanese video games firm D3Publisher on Monday announced a co-publishing agreement with Japanese developer TOMY Corporation, to publish games based on the anime series "Naruto." The series recently began airing in the U.S. on Cartoon Network, and is also found in publisher VIZ Media's Shonen Jump magazine, which claims 750,000 U.S. readers. D3Publisher and TOMY will release two "Naruto" titles for Nintendo GameCube and Game Boy Advance in 2006.
