Digital Entertainment Portal Dada Adds Universal Music Tracks

New York - Major label Universal Music Group said on Monday that it has licensed catalog to Dada Entertainment, the operator of a digital and mobile entertainment distribution service. Under the terms, Dada.net will make UMG songs available for purchase and downloads as DRM-free full-track MP3s and ringtones from all major mobile carriers. The company -- a joint venture between Dada USA and major label Sony BMG -- also offers Sony BMG content, and said content from other major and indie labels is on the way.

New York - Mobile entertainment publisher Dada Entertainment, a joint venture between Dada USA and major label Sony BMG, on Tuesday announced the addition of DRM-free full-song downloads from Sony BMG artists to its offering. Subscribers to the Dada pay $10 a month for 15 tokens, which are redeemable for ringtones, wallpapers, games and full-song downloads. The full-song offering requires users to first download tracks to a PC and then transfer them to their phones.

Sony BMG, Dada to Sell Mobile, Web Content Direct to Consumers

New York - Major record label Sony BMG announced on Monday the formation of a joint venture with Dada, a provider of Web and mobile community and entertainment services, that will create a direct-to-consumer mobile and Web entertainment service.
