"The Dark Knight" is First Warner Title With BD-Live Features

Burbank, Calif. - Time Warner's (NYSE: TWX) Warner Home Video said on Tuesday that its first Blu-ray Disc title to feature BD-Live interactivity will be "The Dark Knight," scheduled for release on Dec. 9. BD-Live will allow users to host their own live community screenings with friends; record and post user-generated commentaries over the film; access additional exclusive film-related features; view trailers for upcoming films; and connect to the WB store.

Los Angeles - The Associated Press this week reported on the odd lack of a simultaneously released video game based on the blockbuster Batman film "The Dark Knight," an absence that could be costing Electronic Arts (NASD: ERTS), the publisher commissioned to create the game, and Warner Bros. (NYSE: TWX) the studio that released the film, as much as $100 million in sales.

San Francisco - Time Warner's (NYSE: TWX) Warner Bros. said Wednesday that it has taken action against a number of websites that have posted "camcorded" copies of its new Batman movie "The Dark Knight" online, CNET News.com reported.

Missouri Man Arrested in Theater for Recording "The Dark Knight"

Kansas City, Mo. - A Missouri man was arrested this weekend for allegedly using a camcorder to capture "The Dark Knight" at a movie theater in Lee's Summit, Missouri, TorrentFreak reported, citing local accounts. Police later searched the Grandview, Mo. home of the 40-year-old suspect and told local news station KCTV they "found other pirated movies on DVD."
