Electronic Arts' "Dead Space" Game to Become Movie

Los Angeles - Video game publisher Electronic Arts (NASD: ERTS) has made a deal with production house Temple Hill to turn its "Dead Space" game into a movie, with D.J. Caruso ("Eagle Eye") set to direct, Variety reports. The game was released in 2008, and EA is currently working on two sequels. Temple Hill is also working on the movie adaptation of Microsoft and Epic Games' "Gears of War" for New Line Cinema.

Redwood City, Calif. - Video game developer and publisher Electronic Arts (NASD: ERTS) announced on Monday that it has partnered with Liberty Media's (NASD: LINTA) Starz Media unit to develop an animated movie prequel to its sci-fi game "Dead Space."
