Movieline.com Adds Defamer Blog Founder Mark Lisanti

Los Angeles - Mail.com Media Corporation, operators of the newly re-launched Movieline.com, announced that it has named Defamer blog founder and former editor Mark Lisanti as its new editor at large. The rest of Movieline's editorial team are also former writers at Defamer, which was folded into Gawker.com. Mail.com Media Corp. also recently signed a deal to acquire Nikki Finke's DeadlineHollywoodDaily.com.

Movieline Magazine Gets Online Re-Launch

Los Angeles - Movieline.com on Monday launched its online reincarnation of the defunct Hollywood entertainment magazine, which will feature celebrity interviews, coverage of industry news, daily film and DVD reviews and pop culture commentary. The site is staffed by former editors from Gawker Media's Defamer blog, which was recently folded into its flagship Gawker.com.

Movieline to Re-launch on Web With Defamer Editorial Team

Hollywood - The editorial team from Defamer, the Hollywood gossip blog recently folded into Gawker Media's flagship site, has been hired to re-launch an online version of Movieline, the arts and entertainment magazine. Movieline parent company Mail.com Media Corporation (MMC) hired Seth Abramovitch, S.T. VanAirsdale and Kyle Buchanan from Defamer to pen the new Movieline.com. Expected to launch in the spring, the site will feature "original content, up-to-the-minute blogs, reviews and high-profile interviews," said MMC chairman and CEO Jay Penske.

Gawker Media Folds Defamer Into Flagship Gossip Site

Los Angeles - Blog network Gawker Media announced yesterday that it will fold its four-year-old Hollywood gossip site Defamer into its flagship Gawker.com property, after failing to attract an acceptable deal when it put Defamer up for sale several months back.
