Secure Digital Music Distributor Musicrypt Raises $10 Million

Toronto, Canada - Musicrypt, a provider of secure distribution of singles from record labels to radio stations and others, announced on Thursday that it has secured $10 million in new financing, through a private placement of its shares.

Toronto - Musicrypt, a provider of secure distribution of music between record labels and radio stations, said on Wednesday that it has signed a new independent record label, Atlanta-based Mogol Music. The label will distribute an "eNote" featuring artist Bubble Boy's single "MySpace Girl" to radio stations, which can log into Musicrypt's DMDS system to download a version of the song suitable for airplay. Toronto-based Musicrypt has delivered songs from labels to stations owned by CBS/Infinity, Clear Channel and others.
