Fort Mill, S.C. - Muzak and DMX, two providers of business music and media services, announced on Tuesday that they have received word that Justice Department's antitrust division has approved their proposal to merge and sell the combined company to a third party.

Vancouver, Canada - Bodog Music, the record label unit of Web gambling firm Bodog Entertainment, announced on Wednesday that it has signed hip-hop artist DMX to its roster. The first album from DMX with Bodog will be the forthcoming "Walk With Me Now and You'll Fly With Me Later." Other artists signed to Bodog Music include Wu-Tang Clan and Bishop Brigante.

New York - MusicNet, the music distribution unit of MediaNet Digital, said on Wednesday that it has partnered with DMX, a provider of music for commercial businesses and cable TV networks, to create a digital music subscription service and download store that also lets users access music collections on both PCs and portable devices. The Sonic Tap service will be powered by MusicNet, which counts a catalog of 4.5 million tracks, while DMX will offer its commercial customers the ability to provide brand-centric digital music services.
