Virtual World Developer Doppelganger Secures $11 Million

San Francisco - Doppelganger Inc., the developer of a youth-targeted online virtual world focused on music, fashion and entertainment, announced on Tuesday that it has raised $11 million in a new round of funding, led by new investor ComVentures.

Starz Entertainment President and Chief Operating Officer Bill Myers today announced the appointment of cable industry marketing executive Nancy A. McGee as Senior Vice President of Marketing for the television company. Previously McGee held the post of Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales for Adelphia Communications from August 2004 to August 2006, when Adelphia was sold to Time Warner Cable and Comcast Cable. McGee will report to Myers and lead a team that includes marketing communications, branding, research, online/new media, and product development.
