Marina del Rey, Calif. - CinemaNow, an Internet video-on-demand service majority owned by Lions Gate Entertainment, announced on Tuesday that it has signed a licensing agreement with Fox Entertainment Group for the rights to offer select movies and TV shows on a download-to-own basis.

CinemaNow Internet VOD Site Signs Download-to-Own Deal With Fox

Marina del Rey, Calif. - CinemaNow, an Internet video-on-demand service majority owned by Lions Gate Entertainment, announced on Tuesday that it has signed a licensing agreement with Fox Entertainment Group for the rights to offer select movies and TV shows on a download-to-own basis. The deal includes movies from Twentieth Century Fox like "The Ringer" and "Cheaper By The Dozen 2." Also covered are TV programs like "24," "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia" -- from the company's TV library and current selections airing on its FX, Fuel TV and Speed networks. Permanent film downloads will sell on CinemaNow for between $9.95 and $19.95, while TV shows will cost $1.99 per episode. Marina del Rey, Calif.-based CinemaNow has recently signed similar download-to-own licensing deals with Disney's Buena Vista Home Entertainment, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment and Lionsgate.
