Plano, Texas - Staying true to its promise from a marketing stunt, soft drink maker Dr. Pepper (NYSE: DPS) said it will offer a free soda coupon to every American when Guns N' Roses releases its 17 years-in-the-making album "Chinese Democracy" on Nov. 23. "We never thought this day would come," said Tony Jacobs, vice president of marketing for Dr Pepper. "But now that it's here all we can say is: The Dr Pepper's on us." The company said publicly that it would buy everyone in America a Dr. Pepper if the album came out before the end of the year. The coupons will be available for just 24 hours on the 23rd. |
