Los Angeles - HandHeld Entertainment (ZVUE), a Web entertainment network and maker of portable media players, laid off the staff at its eBaum's World video site last week, NewTeeVee reported, citing staff blog posts.

San Francisco - ZVUE Corporation (formerly HandHeld Entertainment), a provider of video entertainment sites and maker of a portable media player, announced on Thursday that it has completed its $17.5 million of video-sharing site eBaum's World, and raised $28.1 million in new financing.

San Francisco - Needing additional time to gain stockholder approval, HandHeld Entertainment said on Tuesday that it has extended by 31 days the closing date of its acquisition of eBaum's World.

eBaum's World to Create Branded Channel on AOL Video

Rochester, N.Y. - Online entertainment site eBaum's World announced on Monday that it has signed a deal to make hundreds of its viral videos available through a branded eBaum's World Channel on AOL Video. The site plans to provide new clips to AOL Video on a weekly basis.

Maxim.com, eBaum's World Sign Content-Sharing Deal

Rochester, N.Y. - Online entertainment site eBaum's World said on Monday that it has partnered with the website for Dennis Publishing's Maxim magazine, and will provide videos on Maxim's website while Maxim will provide daily photo content on eBaum's World.

User-Generated Site eBaum's World Gets Mobile Distribution on Sprint

Rochester, N.Y. - eBaum's World, a user-generated video content site, announced on Monday that it has signed an agreement with mobile network operator Sprint, to offer eBaum's World Mobile as a premium mobile channel. Content submitted to the eBaum's World site will be reformatted for mobile, and updated three times weekly for Sprint subscribers. Launched in 1998, eBaum's World now counts over 9.6 million unique visitors per month.
