New Media Primetime Emmy Nominations Announced

Los Angeles - Nominations for the Primetime Emmy Awards have been announced, and NewTeeVee highlighted the online video programming that was recognized in the "Special Class Program," "Outstanding Creative Achievement in Interactive Media" and other categories. Most were studio-produced videos, for series including "Battlestar Galactica," "Lost," "Friday Night Lights," "The L Word" and "Project Runway." Also given the nod was "I'm F***ing Matt Damon," the viral video created by Sarah Silverman for former boyfriend Jimmy Kimmel's late night show.

Al Gore's Current TV Network Nabs Interactive TV Emmy

Los Angeles - Former Vice President Al Gore appeared on stage at the Emmy Awards on Sunday to collect an Emmy for interactive television services for his Current TV network, the youth-oriented channel that highlights user-generated videos.
