RealNetworks Adds Endemol TV Shows to SuperPass Service

Seattle - RealNetworks (NASD: RNWK) announced on Tuesday that it has signed a deal with TV production company Endemol USA, to bring shows including "Deal or No Deal," "Big Brother" and "1 vs. 100" to the company's SuperPass subscription service. In all, some 80 broadcast hours of full-length episodes from Endemol will be available via SuperPass, which costs $14.99 per month and also offers movies, music and games.

TV Producer Endemol USA Creates Casual Games Division

Los Angeles - Television production company Endemol USA ("Deal or No Deal," "1 vs. 100") announced that it has formed a casual games division, which will first create Web games for its slate of TV gameshows. The company named Eric LaVanchy, who previously served as VP of creative development at advergaming firm Bottle Rocket, to head the new games unit.

Endemol USA, Metacafe Team for Online Late-Night Trivia Show

Los Angeles - Television production company Endemol USA ("Deal or No Deal," "Big Brother") announced on Tuesday that it has partnered with online video site Metacafe to launch an online late-night game show called "Buzzed." The series will feature nightclub patrons answering a series of trivia questions as they are leaving the club. Metacafe's 6 million unique monthly users will be able to submit trivia questions and physical challenges for contestants, as well as rate, share and comment on webisodes. The show is currently in pre-production and slated to launch in the spring.

AirPlay Develops Interactive TV Game for "Deal or No Deal"

San Francisco - AirPlay, a provider of interactive TV game technologies, this week announced a deal with TV producer Endemol USA, to launch a mobile phone-based interactive TV element for NBC's "Deal or No Deal." The "Deal or No Deal: Live TV Challenge" game, set to launch in January on most mobile networks, will let viewers play along and answer questions in real-time, with the chance to win prizes and chat with other viewers.

Gameloft to Develop Mobile "1 vs. 100"; Debuts "Lost" Game for iPods

New York - Mobile game developer and publisher Gameloft on Wednesday announced a deal to create a mobile game version of Endemol USA's TV game show "1 vs. 100" for cell phones, and launched a version of its game based on the ABC series "Lost" for fifth generation iPods. "1 vs. 100: The Mobile Game" is set to debut in the fall, while the iPod "Lost" game is available for purchase for $4.99.

Endemol USA to Produce Original Video Content for Break.com

Los Angeles - Break.com, a male-focused entertainment site, announced on Tuesday an agreement with TV producer Endemol USA ("Deal or No Deal," "Big Brother"), to produce original content for Break.com. "Record Breakers," Endemol's first original series commissioned by Break.com, is set to debut this summer. Los Angeles-based Break.com says it streams more than 12 million videos daily to its audience of mainly men aged 15-35.

TV Producer Endemol USA Acquires Animation Site JoeCartoon.com

Los Angeles - TV production company Endemol USA ("Big Brother," "Fear Factor," "Deal or No Deal") announced that it has acquired JoeCartoon.com, a producer of original animation content, Variety reported.
