Englewood, Colo. - EchoStar Communications, operator of the DISH Network satellite TV service, said on Wednesday that it has partnered with interactive video developer Ensequence and Gemstar-TV Guide International on a new interactive TV application, slated to launch in the second quarter. DISH Network subscribers will be able to launch the TV Guide Channel application using their remotes, and receive programming recommendations in up to 10 different categories, as well as set program reminders and digital video recordings. New York - Major League Baseball's MLB.com announced on Monday that it partnered with interactive TV firm Ensequence to enable subscribers to view up to six live baseball games simultaneously on their computers. Beginning next week, the MLB.tv Mosaic application will let fans change audio feeds and running statistics, and click any of the individual games to full screen. The application will also alert fantasy league players when live games involving their fantasy players and teams are available. When no live games are scheduled, the service will offer on-demand games, outtakes from the previous night's games and other content.
