Groups File Privacy Complaint with FTC Over Google-DoubleClick Deal

San Francisco - A number of public interest groups have filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), over Google's proposed $3.1 billion acquisition of online advertising company DoubleClick.

Weather Channel Debuts Broadband Site for Outdoor Sports

Atlanta - The Weather Channel announced on Thursday the launch of "Epic," a broadband site featuring video that "highlights the impact of weather on surfing, snow-skiing, mountain biking, whitewater rafting and sailing." The site is a companion property of Epic Conditions, a new program debuting in March on The Weather Channel.

Online Music Video Competition Music Nation Raises $5.5 Million

New York - Music Nation, an artist development company that hosts online music video competitions, announced on Tuesday that it has raised $5.5 million in its first round of venture capital financing, led by Greylock Partners and Point Judith Capital.
