networking applications, has named Deanna Brown as its president and COO. Brown
most recently served as the president at Scripps Networks Digital, and
previously held vice president and general manager titles at Yahoo and AOL. FM's
clients include American Express, Intel, BMW, HP, Microsoft, RadioShack and
JCPenney.

San Francisco - Online publishing and advertising firm Federated Media announced on Thursday that it has signed a deal to represent Mixx, a social media site with six million monthly unique users that offers user-recommended media and personalization tools. Sausalito, Calif. - Federated Media Publishing, a blog advertising network, announced on Monday that it has partnered with Microsoft (NASD: MSFT) to launch CrowdFire, a social media service that focuses on music concerts. Redmond, Wash. - Microsoft announced on Wednesday that it has signed a three-year deal to become the exclusive provider of display and contextual advertising for Digg, the popular news aggregation site that attracts 17 million monthly unique users. Digg's current advertising partner, Federated Media, will still work with Microsoft on integrated programs.
