Former PC World Editor to Launch Technologizer Blog

Sausalito, Calif. - Former PC World editor-in-chief Harry McCracken on Tuesday announced plans to launch Technologizer, a new independent technology news blog that will be part of online ad network Federated Media Publishing, also home to TechCrunch and GigaOm. FM will also help develop the site in partnership with McCracken, as it did for previous clients WebbAlert and Boing Boing Gadgets.

Sausalito, Calif. - The editors of popular digital culture blog Boing Boing announced on Wednesday that they have partnered with Federated Media Publishing and digital entertainment studio DECA to launch a daily Web video report, Boing Boing TV.

San Francisco - Federated Media Publishing, an online ad network for blogs and other conversational media websites, has raised $4.5 million in its second round of funding, PEHub.com reported, citing a regulatory filing.

News Aggregation Site Digg Taps Microsoft for Online Ads

Redmond, Wash. - Microsoft announced on Wednesday that it has signed a three-year deal to become the exclusive provider of display and contextual advertising for Digg, the popular news aggregation site that attracts 17 million monthly unique users. Digg's current advertising partner, Federated Media, will still work with Microsoft on integrated programs. "Our collaboration with Digg is about bringing our advertising technology and sales force to one of the fastest-growing sites on the Web and a true innovator in user-generated content," said Steve Berkowitz, senior vice president of Microsoft's online services group.

ComScore, Federated Media Team on New Measurement System for Blogs

Reston, Va. - ComScore Networks, a provider of Internet audience measurement services, announced on Friday that it has partnered with Federated Media, which represents conversational media sites including Digg and BoingBoing, to create a new measurement system for blogs and community-driven sites.
