Financial Times to Expand Free Access to Website

London - The Financial Times, the business newspaper owned by publisher Pearson Group, announced on Monday that it will expand free access to its website to allow users 30 free views per month, after which point a subscription will be needed.

Maven Networks to Power Internet TV for Sony BMG, FT.com

Cambridge, Mass. - Maven Networks, a provider of Internet TV delivery technology, said on Thursday that Sony BMG and FT.com will use its services to launch new consumer video offerings. Sony BMG will syndicate its Sony BMG Musicbox video player to hundreds of sites in up to 19 European countries, while the Financial Times will use Maven's platform to distribute all of its video content on FT.com.
