The South By Southwest (SxSW) conferences and festival begin March 13 in Austin, Texas, and will go on until March 22. The South By Southwest conferences and festivals in Austin, Texas, have already kicked off and will go on through most of this week. On Sunday the conference buzz was about a keynote interview with Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, in which the interviewer, BusinessWeek columnist Sarah Lacy, was heckled for rambling non-questions. With over 2000 parties, 1800 showcases and lots more, South By Southwest in Austin, Texas, March 14-18 has become the place to be if you are in the music industry. But it can be a little overwhelming. Music publicist Fiona Bloom, who usually is on top of things (she turned me on to the Arctic Monkeys and many other acts long before they became big), has done some cherry-picking for those of you who will attend:
