Cambridge, Mass. - Red Swoosh, a provider of content delivery technology that was acquired by Akamai several weeks ago, has released a BitTorrent file-sharing client for the Mozilla Firefox browser, TechCrunch reported. FoxTorrent allows users manage torrents and download various media files from the BitTorrent peer-to-peer file-sharing network, as well as stream files as they are downloading. Seattle - RealNetworks, a provider of media delivery technology, on Wednesday announced a multi-year agreement under which it will bundle the Google Toolbar and Mozilla Firefox Web browser along with its RealPlayer media player software. The deal builds on a previous two-year relationship that saw Real distribute millions of Google Toolbar applications. Seattle-based RealNetworks said it regularly distributes more than 2 million pieces of software a day worldwide.
