MySpace, MTV Detail First Presidential Candidate Web "Dialogue"

Los Angeles - MySpace and MTV on Wednesday announced details for the first of their Presidential Candidate Dialogues, which will be held on Sept. 27 at the University of New Hampshire, and feature John Edwards. The hour-long event, to be broadcast on mtvU as well as streamed at MTV.com and MySpace, will be moderated by MTV News' SuChin Pak and Gideon Yago, as well as WashingtonPost.com political reporter Chris Cillizza. Pollsters John McLaughlin and Geoffrey Garin will oversee the real-time polling data and audience questions submitted via MySpaceIM and MTV.com. The polling will be conducted via an online widget, called Flektor, which News Corp. acquired in May.

MySpace Parent to Acquire Photobucket, Flektor

Palo Alto, Calif. - Three weeks after reaching a preliminary deal, MySpace parent Fox Interactive Media (FIM) officially announced on Wednesday that it will acquire photo sharing site Photobucket for an undisclosed sum.
