HBO to Offer "Flight of the Conchords" Songs on iTunes

Los Angeles - HBO will offer songs featured in each episode from the new season of its comedy "Flight of the Conchords" for purchase and download on iTunes the day after each episode airs, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Fans who pre-order a 15-track album featuring songs from the new season from SubPop.com will also receive the new episode tracks each week.

Los Angeles - Time Warner's (NYSE: TWX) HBO plans to offer a full-length streaming preview of the second season premiere of its "Flight of the Conchords" comedy series on FunnyorDie.com, Variety reports. The preview will be available from Wednesday through Sunday, while the broadcast premiere is slated for Jan. 18.

When The Sopranos wrapped this spring and HBO entered its summer schedule, some assumed the network’s best days were behind it. And while the only quality drama they may be serving at the moment is Johnny Drama on Entourage, HBO has firmly entrenched itself as a comedy leader, thanks in large part to Flight of the Conchords, the story of New Zealand’s “fourth most popular folk-parody duo” as they attempt to make it in the US.
