Flixwagon, Qik Developing Video Streaming from iPhone

Los Angeles - Mobile video developers Flixwagon and Qik are separately working on applications that will stream video from an iPhone, according to various reports. Both solutions will use the iPhone's built-in camera, and both are currently available only for jailbroken iPhones. The applications currently support limited video quality, but allow users to post videos to various sites, including YouTube.

MTV Citizen Journos to Post Live Mobile Video Reports Tuesday

New York - Viacom's (NYSE: VIA) MTV said this week that it will send a team of citizen journalists to cover elections in Super Tuesday primary states, who will stream live video broadcasts throughout the day via mobile phones to its MTVNews.com and ChooseorLose.com sites. The citizen journalists will be equipped with Nokia N95 mobile devices, which will capture video that will then be streamed live onto the Web using technology from Flixwagon.
