Buzznet Gets $12.5M for Pop Culture Sites; Changes Name

Los Angeles - Buzznet, the operator of a network of pop culture websites that draw 40 million monthly unique users, announced on Thursday that it has raised $12.5 million in new financing, and changed its name to Buzz Media.

San Mateo, Calif. - RGB Networks, a maker of video processing tools for video service providers, said that it has raised $20 million in its third round of funding, led by new investor Focus Ventures of Palo Alto.
