Esquire October Issue to Feature First E Ink Electronic Paper Ad

New York - Hearst's Esquire magazine on Monday announced that its October issue will be the first magazine to incorporate E Ink's electronic paper technology into a mass-produced print product. A two-page ad on the inside cover will feature the Ford Flex Crossover, with words and images scrolling across the flexible electronic paper display.

Interpolls Designs Rich Media Widget for Ford's SYNC

Pasadena, Calif. - Rich media technology firm Interpolls said on Wednesday that it has created a widget ad campaign for SYNC, the voice-activated system available on Ford (NYSE: F) vehicles, which will feature free song downloads alongside product videos and information. The SYNC widget will be featured on AOL, and from there can be embedded on social network profiles and websites. Interpolls said it will launch four additional rich media widget campaigns on AOL this month.

Ford to Increase Availability of Sirius Satellite Radios

New York - Sirius Satellite Radio (NASD: SIRI) said on Tuesday that Ford Motor Company (NYSE: F) plans to expand to around 70% factory penetration of Sirius radios, beginning with 2009 model year Ford and Mercury vehicles. Over 1 million Ford vehicles have already shipped with factory-installed Sirius radios. Ford has also extended its relationship with Sirius to all Ford brands, including Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, Land Rover, Jaguar, Volvo and Mazda.

Ford to Offer HD Radio on Most 2008 Vehicles

Dearborn, Mich. - Ford Motor Co. announced on Wednesday that it will be the first automaker to offer HD Digital Radio across nearly all of its vehicles. The company will offer HD Radio as a dealer-installed option on nearly all 2008 model year Ford, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles. HD Radio, now available from more than 1,500 U.S. radio stations, allows broadcasters to transmit a digital signal and multicast channels alongside their traditional analog signals.

Ford Debuts Music Video Podcast Series to Promote Edge SUV

Dearborn, Mich. - Automaker Ford on Thursday announced the launch of a free, monthly music video podcast series to promote its Ford Edge SUV. The series will feature full-length music videos from artists including Cat Power, the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Wolfmother and Gomez.

Ford, Microsoft Debut "Sync" In-car Entertainment System

Detroit - Ford Motor Company announced on Monday the launch of a new factory-installed, in-car communications and entertainment system for portable digital media players and mobile phones. The company partnered with Microsoft on Sync, which will allow drivers and passengers to control nearly any mobile phone or media player using voice commands or the vehicle's steering wheel or radio controls. The system includes both Bluetooth and USB 2.0 connectivity, and offers features such as the ability to convert text messages to speech and read them aloud. Sync will be offered on 12 Ford, Lincoln and Mercury models beginning later this year.

New York -- Sirius Satellite Radio, a provider of subscription satellite radio programming, announced on Monday that it has extended its exclusive agreement with Ford Motor Company, which will now offer Sirius as an option on all of its brands in the U.S. Under the deal, which now extends through 2011, Ford will also increase the number of models for which it offers factory-installed Sirius receivers.

New York -- Sirius Satellite Radio announced on Tuesday that Ford Motor Company will offer its satellite radio receivers as a factory-installed option beginning this summer. Ford and Lincoln Mercury will offer Sirius as an option on up to 21 models, including the Ford F-150 and Explorer, Lincoln Mark LT and Mercury Mountaineer. Ford said it expects to generate up to one million Sirius subscribers over the 2006 and 2007 model year periods.
