Media Retail Chain fye Testing MP3 Download Kiosks

Albany, N.Y. - Media retail store chain fye, which counts over 800 U.S. locations, has launched a pilot test of an MP3 download kiosk in two of its stores, Ars Technica reports. The kiosks allow shoppers to browse an initial catalog of 1 million tracks, then either create a custom CD or download tracks directly to their MP3 players for 99 cents per track.

Juice Wireless Creates Mobile Download Store for Music Retailer FYE

New York - Juice Wireless, a developer of branded consumer mobile services, announced on Tuesday that it has partnered with music retailer Trans World Entertainment to launch a mobile content store for Trans World's FYE retail chain. The MobileFYE.com site will offer ringtones for $1.99-$2.99 and mobile games for $3.99 each.
