Take-Two Officially Names Zelnick Chairman, Feder CEO

New York - Video game publisher Take-Two Interactive (NASD: TTWO) has named Ben Feder as its CEO through 2012. Feder was previously CEO of MessageClick and has been serving as Take-Two's acting CEO since last March. On Friday, Take-Two also named Strauss Zelnick to the position of executive chairman. Zelnick has been serving as its non-executive chairman since last March.

London - "Manhunt 2," a violent game from Take-Two Interactive's (NASD: TTWO) Rockstar Games, is once again banned from sale in Britain, after the High Court there ordered a government agency to reconsider its ruling that overturned an earlier ban on the game, GamesIndustry.biz reported.

Rockstar's "Grand Theft Auto IV" Set for Release on April 29

New York - Take-Two Interactive's (NASD: TTWO) Rockstar Games label on Thursday announced the release date for its "Grand Theft Auto IV" title for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, which will ship to retailers worldwide on April 29. The release had originally been scheduled for October 2007, which the company delayed to devote more time to development.

Rockstar's Modified "Manhunt 2" Given "M" Rating, Release Date

New York - Rockstar Games, a unit of Take-Two Interactive, announced on Friday that the modified version of its forthcoming "Manhunt 2" game it submitted to the Entertainment Software Ratings Board (ESRB) has been given an "M" for Mature rating, meaning it will be available at retail to those over 17 years old. In June, the company suspended the game's release because of its initial rating of "AO" Adults Only, which would have prohibited its publication on major consoles and prevented it from being carried by large retailers like Wal-Mart. At the time, the game was also officially banned from sale in the U.K. and Ireland. The modified version will be released in the U.S. on Oct. 31 for PlayStation 2, PSP and Nintendo Wii.

New York - 2K Games, a unit of Take-Two Interactive, on Tuesday announced the release of "BioShock" for Xbox 360 and the PC. Separately, 2K said on Tuesday that it plans to publish a sequel to its two million unit-selling "Mafia" game. Illusion Softworks is currently at work on "Mafia 2," which does not yet have a release date.

New York - Take-Two Interactive on Tuesday announced the roster of titles its 2K Games and 2K Sports labels will show at the E3 industry event this week.
