Entertainment America said on Wednesday that it has partnered with Amazon.com
to place digital access codes for more than 200 PlayStation Network games and
game-related content for the PlayStation 3 and PSP available for purchase and
download from the Amazon.com Video Game Store. The digital access codes then
unlock the game downloads via a PS3 or PSP.

various portable media players. After installation, RealPlayer will identify
video on sites like YouTube and CNN.com that users can port to Facebook,
Twitter, or email. For portable device transfers, a selects the cell phone
model or type of device -- including iPhone and iPod, BlackBerry, Android, Palm
Pre, Zune, PSP, PlayStation 3, Xbox and Apple TV -- and RealPlayer SP then
transcodes to the appropriate format.

- Sony (NYSE: SNE) is contemplating bringing music downloads to its PSP handheld game
system, music industry sources told CNET News.com. To date, Sony has only
offered content for the PSP on its proprietary Universal Media Disc (UMD)
format. Recent reports have speculated that Sony will do away with UMD in a
forthcoming version of the PSP. The company is now reportedly considering
offering direct music downloads, in a bid to compete with Apple's iTunes Store,
iPods and iPhones.

Leipzig, Germany - U.K. telecommunications firm BT announced on Thursday that it has partnered with Sony Computer Entertainment Europe to develop GoMessenger, a service that will allow owners of Sony's PSP handheld game to make Internet telephone calls, and send and receive instant messages when connected to a Wi-Fi hotspot. BT developed the PSP software, which when paired with a headset and GoGam video camera will allow gamers to use voice chat and make video calls, respectively. BT and Sony plan to initially offer GoMessenger in the U.K., France, Germany, Spain and Italy in early 2008, before expanding further into Europe.
