New York - Outbrain, a provider of personalized recommendations of blogs and other published online content, announced on Wednesday that it has raised $12 million in its second round of funding, led by Carmel Ventures.

New York - Outbrain, a provider of ratings and recommendations for blogs, news and RSS content, announced on Tuesday that it has closed a $5 million first round of financing, led by Gemini Israel Funds and Lightspeed Venture Partners.

Online Video Ad Technology Firm Adap.tv Raises $10 Million

San Mateo, Calif. - Adap.tv, a provider of online video advertising technology, announced on Thursday that it has raised $10 million in its first round of funding, from new investor Redpoint Ventures and existing backer Gemini Israel Funds.

Founded in 2006, San Mateo, Calif.-based Adap.tv analyzes the video, audio and metadata in online video to serve contextually relevant ads.

The company will use the funds to expand its product offerings, broaden recruitment efforts and grow its operations.

European News Aggregation Site Wikio Raises $5.3 Million

Luxembourg - Wikio, a European news search and aggregation site similar to Digg, announced that it has raised $5.3 million in its first round of financing, which was led by Lightspeed Venture Partners and Gemini Israel Funds.
