Santa Monica, Calif. - GGL (Global Gaming League), a media network dedicated to video games, said that it has signed an agreement with Sony Computer Entertainment America, to produce a series of live online game tournaments for PlayStation 3 online titles. The tournaments will be offered to GGL's community of users, and finals will be captured by VOOM HD Networks' GamePlay HD channel for a forthcoming GGL TV series on video game tournaments. Santa Monica, Calif. - GGL (Global Gaming League), a producer of online game tournaments, announced on Tuesday the creation of the MLB Virtual World Series tournament. The online baseball game tournament will commence in December with a pre-season ladder competition, followed by a regular season, playoffs and finally the Virtual World Series, which will coincide with MLB opening day in April 2008. Santa Monica, Calif. - The GGL (formerly Global Gaming League), an online gaming network that hosts year-round video game tournaments and events, announced on Wednesday that it has expanded its presence in China through a deal with Coca-Cola. GGL will host regional online gaming tournaments on Coca-Cola's iCoke portal, as well as in many of the over 8,000 Coke-supported Chinese cybercafés. The winner of the iCoke tournaments will be flown to New York to compete in GGL's tournament at the Digital Life expo. Los Angeles - The Global Gaming League (GGL), a producer of online and live video game tournaments and events, announced on Thursday that it has partnered with AOL to create a co-branded site on AOL.com. The GGL hub on AOL will feature original video, player profiles and information on GGL live and online tournaments.
