Toshiba Introduces Gigabeat Media Player with 3.5-inch Screen

Wayne, N.J. - Japanese electronics firm Toshiba's U.S. consumer products unit has introduced a new addition to its Gigabeat line of portable media players -- the MEV30K V Series -- which features a larger 3.5-inch LCD display. The $399 device includes a 30GB hard drive and is slated to ship to retailers in October.

Las Vegas - Toshiba America Consumer Products on Thursday debuted a new line of hard drive-based Gigabeat portable media players, the company's first such devices to feature video playback. The players will feature a 2.4-inch screen and Microsoft Windows Media technology. Toshiba will offer the devices in three colors -- white, black and blue -- and two capacities: 30GB ($299) and 60GB ($399), when they ship to retailers in March.

Toshiba Introduces New Gigabeat Flash MP3 Players

Wayne, N.J. - Japanese consumer electronics firm Toshiba on Monday introduced a new line of its Gigabeat flash memory-based digital music players. A $129, 512MB model features a multi-colored pallet design, while a $179, 1GB model comes in metallic black. Both players will go on sale in January 2006.
