New York - Giga Omni Media, the blog publisher whose network includes GigaOm and NewTeeVee, has raised $4.5 million in a new round of funding led by Alloy Ventures, according to a blog post from founder Om Malik.

Los Angeles - Giga Omni Media, a network of blogs covering information technology, has acquired TheAppleBlog, which covers the maker of iPods and Macs. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. GigaOmniMedia's Om Malik said in a blog post that the plan with TheAppleBlog, like its previous acquisition jkOnTheRun, will be "to have a very light touch and not muck around with the editorial."

Los Angeles - GigaOmniMedia, the publisher of blogs including NewTeeVee and GigaOM, has raised about $1 million in its second round of venture capital financing, from True Ventures and several angel investors, Beet.tv reports.
