Tokyo - Glam Media, a network of women-focused websites that counts over 1,000 publishers, announced on Monday that it has raised $10 million in a fifth round of venture capital financing, led by Mizuho Venture Capital.

New York - Glam Media, a network of over 700 sites arranged by various content verticals, on Tuesday launched the Glam Applications Network, a platform that allows brand ad-enabled applications and widgets to be integrated into websites and blogs. Developer partners at launch include Sphere, Meebo, BuzzFeed, PollDaddy and PicApp.

New York - Glam Media, a group of vertical content and advertising networks targeting women, on Thursday announced that it has partnered with Russell Simmons-backed hip-hop social network Global Grind, to launch a new vertical network of sites and blogs targeting the hip-hop community. Earlier this week, the company announced the launch of another new vertical content network, Glam Family, to be headed by former SheKnows.com president and CEO Mike Meyers. Glam Family will launch in the third quarter, and focus on parenting, pregnancy and baby-related content.

Glam Media Gets $20 Million in Venture Debt

Palo Alto, Calif. - Specialty finance firm Hercules Technology Growth Capital said on Wednesday that it has provided $20 million in debt financing to Glam Media, which operates a network of lifestyle websites, blogs and magazines aimed at women. The financing was part of Glam's recent $84.6 million funding round.

New York - Glam Media, a distributed media network of over 450 lifestyle sites targeted at women, announced on Monday that it has raised $85 million in strategic financing, including $65 million in a fourth round of venture capital and $20 million in revenue-based debt financing. International publisher Hubert Burda Media led the investment round; other participants included GLG Partners, Duff Ackerman & Goodrich Ventures, Accel Partners, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Walden Ventures and Information Capital.

Glam Media, Lifetime Create Co-branded Online Vertical Media Network

New York - Glam Media, a women-focused network of websites, announced that it has partnered with women-focused cable TV channel Lifetime Networks to create a co-branded, vertical network of websites and blogs within the Glam Media publisher network. Lifetime, which is jointly owned by Disney (NYSE: DIS) and Hearst Corporation, and Glam will also syndicate each other's online content. The flagship site of the network, myLifetime.com, will feature areas related to relationships, advocacy, home and crafts, pets, and astrology.
