DigitalLife Event to Feature $100,000 Pro-Am Video Game Tournament

New York - DigitalLife, a consumer technology event organized by Ziff Davis Media, announced on Wednesday that it will host a $100,000 Pro-Am Video Game Tournament in conjunction with the Global Gaming League.

Global Gaming League to Host $100K "TransAtlantic Showdown" This Weekend

New York - The Global Gaming League, a producer of video game tournaments, said on Friday that 24 European gamers will square off against U.S. challengers in its first $100,000 TransAtlantic Showdown event this weekend at the Time Warner Center in New York City. Titles featured in the competition will include "Counter-Strike," "Quake 4" and "Warcraft III".

Snoop Dogg, Global Gaming League Launch Hip Hop Gaming League

Santa Monica, Calif. - The Global Gaming League, a producer of video game tournaments, announced on Thursday that it has signed an agreement with hip-hop artist Snoop Dogg, to create a Hip Hop Gaming League. Snoop will serve as the first commissioner for the league, which has so far signed on performers including Method Man, BReal, Proof and Krayzie Bone, and pro athletes Jalen Rose and Cobi Jones. The league's players will be equipped with custom Xbox 360 consoles, and all competition will take place on the Xbox Live online gaming service. League matches will begin this month, and conclude in May with a live finals event held in Las Vegas -- with Snoop's youth football league receiving a substantial donation on the champion's behalf.
