Report: U.S. Video Game Sales Up 33% in March to $1.1 Billion

New York - U.S. sales of video game consoles, software and accessories rose 33% in March, to $1.1 billion, with Nintendo's Wii leading all next-generation console sales and the company's DS handheld far outpacing sales of all other game devices, Reuters reported, citing sales data from market research firm NPD.

Sony to Ship "God of War II" in Early 2007

Los Angeles - Sony Computer Entertainment America said on Thursday that it plans to ship "God of War II" for PlayStation 2, the sequel to its Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences 2005 Game of the Year, in the first quarter of 2007. The game is currently in development at Sony's Santa Monica Studios.
