Gotuit Media Licenses KOCH Records Video for On-Demand Service

Woburn, Mass. - Gotuit Media, a provider of video-on-demand programming services, announced on Wednesday that it has signed an agreement with independent music label KOCH Records, to offer music videos and live concert footage from KOCH artists through its Gotuit Music On Demand product. The service is offered to cable TV and broadband TV providers in the U.S. and Canada.

Gotuit Media Registers 1 Million VOD Plays on Time Warner Cable

Woburn, Mass. - Gotuit Media, a provider of video-on-demand programming, announced on Monday that its video-on-demand products have surpassed 1 million plays since January on Time Warner Cable's New England cable system. The company's services are currently on trial with 40,000 digital cable subscribers in Maine. "Even though Gotuit products represent just 4 percent of total VOD content on this system, Gotuit delivers 65 percent of the free on demand usage, and more than 12 percent of all VOD usage," said Gotuit president Mark Pascarella.

Video-on-Demand Provider Gotuit Media Raises $10 Million

Andover, Mass. -- Gotuit Media, a developer of video-on-demand technology, announced on Thursday that it has raised $10 million in its third round of venture capital funding. Atlas Venture led the round; existing investors including Highland Capital Partners also participated. Massachusetts-based Gotuit's on-demand service for cable TV operators offers content from the NHL, Universal Music, HGTV, Food Network and others. "By blending targeted advertising with highly selectable indexed content, Gotuit Media delivers a television experience the users want with a business model that is sustainable," said Atlas Venture partner Jeff Andrews. The company will use the funds to expand its content offerings in news, music, entertainment and sports, and to launch into new, vertical markets.
