NCsoft: "Guild Wars" Online Game Hits Four Million Sales Mark

Bellevue, Wash. - Game publisher NCsoft announced on Tuesday that its massively multiplayer online roleplaying game "Guild Wars," developed by ArenaNet, has now surpassed four million units sold. The company plans to release a new expansion, "Guild Wars: Eye of the North," on Aug. 31

NCsoft Ships "Guild Wars Nightfall"

Bellevue, Wash. - Video game publisher NCsoft and developer ArenaNet announced on Thursday the release of "Guild Wars Nightfall" in North America and Europe. Servers supporting the latest installment in the PC rolepaying game franchise are slated to go live at midnight.

ArenaNet Launches Online Store for "Guild Wars" Online Game

Bellevue, Wash. - Online game developer ArenaNet, creator of the "Guild Wars" franchise, and Korean game publisher NCsoft jointly announced on Thursday the launch of an online store that will sell Guild Wars games and accessories. The store will have an in-game interface and allow players to purchase both new game titles as they are released, and items such as additional character slots for their online game accounts.

The9 To Distribute NCsoft's "Guild Wars" Online Game in China

Shanghai - Chinese online game operator The9 announced on Wednesday that it has signed a three-year agreement with Korean online game developer NCsoft, to operate the company's "Guild Wars" online game in mainland China. The game has sold more than one million units in under five months, and is currently available in Korea, North America, Europe, Japan and Taiwan.
