Hands-On Mobile recently announced that Guitar Hero III Mobile, which they publish through a licence from Activision (NASD: ATVI), has been downloaded a million times. It's a milestone for the mobile gaming industry and possibly a sign that mobile games are about to really take off as a mass market phenomenon. Santa Monica, Calif. - Video game publisher Activision (NASD: ATVI) announced on Tuesday that its "Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock" has racked up over $115 million in sales in North America since its release a week ago. The third installment in the franchise, which overall to date has sold more than six million units, is slated for release in Europe on Nov. 23. |
