IdeaBar: Still Seeking The Great Semacode Marketing Idea

Gizmodo just posted a piece about how H&M is using semacodes imprinted onto Billboard ads in Europe for clothes to allow consumers to purchase an item of clothing directly from their phone.  I am a big fan of the promise of semacodes for marketing because they can offer a reliable way to let consumers interact with static outdoor ads and get more information or take an action right on the spot. 

Electronic Arts, H&M Team on Virtual Clothing Design Contest

Redwood City, Calif. - Electronic Arts said on Tuesday that it has partnered with international apparel retailer H&M, on a promotion that encourages fans of "The Sims" to design virtual clothing. The Sims 2 H&M Fashion Runway challenges players to design virtual clothes that will be examined by H&M designers and featured in virtual runway shows, and possibly adapted for use in a future H&M collection. The downloadable "Sims 2 H&M Fashion Stuff" pack also includes tools players can use to design their own H&M store within the game.
