eMusic Adds Classical from Chandos, Telarc, Harmonia Mundi

New York - Digital music retailer eMusic on Wednesday said it added the catalogues of classical music labels Chandos Records, Telarc and Harmonia Mundi to its subscription-based service. The company noted that more than half of customers who downloaded recent free classical music samplers from its service went on to purchase more classical music, and that a third of these had never downloaded a classical track before.

IODA to Digitally Distribute Tracks for Classical Label Harmonia Mundi

San Francisco - IODA, a digital distributor of independent music, announced on Wednesday that it has signed an agreement to distribute the catalog of Harmonia Mundi, a France-based label that features a library of over 1,000 classical, world and jazz recordings. San Francisco-based IODA currently distributes a catalog of more than 700,000 tracks to over 300 digital music retailers.
