Sunnyvale, Calif. - Harmonic, a provider of broadcast and on-demand video delivery technology, announced that it will acquire Rhozet, which develops universal transcoding technology for the creation of multi-format video for Internet, mobile and broadcast applications, for $15.5 million.

Sunnyvale, Calif. - Harmonic, a provider of digital video, broadband optical networking and IP delivery systems to network operators, said on Tuesday that it has signed a deal to acquire the video networking software business of San Mateo, Calif.-based Entone Technologies for about $45 million.

Digital Video Firm Harmonic Names Patrick Harshman President and CEO

Sunnyvale, Calif. - Harmonic, a provider of digital video, broadband optical networking and IP delivery systems, has named Patrick Harshman as its new president and CEO. Harshman succeeds Anthony Ley, 67, who is retiring following 18 years at the helm. Ley will continue as the company's non-executive chairman.

Digital Video Firm Harmonic to Raise Up to $126.6 Million in Offerings

Sunnyvale, Calif. -- Harmonic Inc., a developer of digital video systems, on Monday filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission to raise up to $126.6 million through the sale of stock, debt and warrants. Under the company's shelf registration, the company can raise the money in several different offerings. The company also on Monday introduced technology that allows for the delivery of ultra high-speed, commercial grade Internet access and other services to commercial customers. The technology will allow cable operators to transport bandwidth-intensive multimedia services for large business, government and education customers through the same infrastructure that carries residential video, voice and data services.

Digital Video Delivery Firm Harmonic Acquires BTL for $7.5 Million

London -- Harmonic, a provider of digital video, broadband optical networking and IP delivery systems, announced on Monday that it has acquired Broadcast Technology (BTL), a U.K.-based supplier of professional video/audio receivers and decoders, for $7.5 million. "BTL is a great fit with Harmonic's business," said Yaron Simler, Harmonic's president of convergent systems. "Together, we are positioned to better serve our current and prospective customers across the range of video service providers."

Digital Video Delivery System Firm Harmonic Prices $66.6 Million Offering

Sunnyvale, Calif. -- Harmonic, a provider of digital video, broadband optical networking and IP delivery systems to cable, satellite, telecom and broadcast network operators, said on Wednesday priced its $66.6 million public offering, agreeing to sell 9 million of its shares at $7.40 each. The company increased the size of the offering after originally filing to sell 7.5 million shares. The company's stock jumped 8% in Wednesday's trading.
