Harris Corp. and Google Partnering on TV Ad Network

Melbourne, Fla. - Harris Corp., a communications and information technology company, announced on Thursday that its media inventory service will be integrated with Google (NASD: GOOG) TV Ads to create a new sales channel for broadcasters, cable networks and cable system operators. The Harris media inventory service provides an automated way for media companies to make inventory available to advertisers through Google TV Ads. The service is currently available for use by cable networks using Paradigm traffic and can be easily adapted to other Harris and third-party systems. Google TV Ads is an online buying platform for television advertisers.

Harris Corp. to Acquire Aastra Digital Video for $35 Million

Melbourne, Fla. - Harris Corp., a major communications and defense technology company, has agreed to acquire Aastra Digital Video, a New Jersey-based unit of Aastra Technologies that develops video networking, encoding, decoding, and multiplexing technologies used by television broadcasters, telecommunications providers and satellite networks.

Harris Corp. to Provide HD Radio Equipment to Cumulus Broadcasting

Las Vegas - Harris Corporation announced on Monday that Cumulus Broadcasting, the nation's second-largest radio station owner, has signed a multi-year agreement to use Harris HD Radio transmitters and other products to deploy HD Radio at 80% of its stations through 2012. HD Radio, developed by iBiquity Digital, allows broadcasters to transmit a digital signal alongside their traditional analog signal broadcasts.
